The Invasion

The Invasion is not as bad as all the critics have said. Yes it is a loose adaptation of the Body Snatchers series but if you just want a simple Sci-Fi flick this is where to go.

The films stars Nicole Kidman and not Bond, will never be Bond, so stop it Daniel Craig. Kidman stars as Carol a single mother and psychiatrist Carol Bennell who is horrified when the world's population start turning into pod people. Separated from her son is strangely immune to the virus Carol must fight her infection which takes you over once you fall asleep.

Nicole Kidman does her best with the role, the film is an okay blend of drama and action with a simple albeit predictable storyline. If you like alien invasion movies give it a go.
